Aromas and flavors of cassis, violet, black peppercorn, cherry cola, mocha, cinnamon and earth. A rich entry bolstered by plenty of acidity opens through delineated, fine-grained tannins.

Aromas and flavors of dark cherry, strawberry and pomegranate with an underlying earthiness balances the fruit characters. There is a supple, juicy entry and the palate texture is held in check by a firm structural element. Finishes with a pronounced gravel streak.

Rancho Santa Rosa Vineyard was originally conceived as individual micro-vineyards delineated into 59 unique blocks based upon soil, exposure, elevation, grade, rootstock and clone. Rancho Santa Rosa produces remarkably rich and silky wines.

Established in 1972, the Clark & Telephone Vineyard was planted "own root" to the Martini clone. This heirloom clone of Pinot Noir was one of the first to grace the California coastlands and has become something of a lost treasure.
