Deep crimson. Spicey mulberry, blackberries, bitumen and cigar. Coco and herb edged fruit sits in the glass and opens with air. Opening with dark chocolate and cherry nuance, the peaty background comes of age and styles the graceful personality of this vineyard. Classy, savory-flavored tannins and modest weight make for a seductively structured and velvet textured cuvee.

Dark ruby red color. Aromas of blackberries, plums and blueberries with hints of black pepper. Fresh red berry fruit flavors with subtle and elegant oak characters. The 2010 Merlot is hand-harvested fruitfrom the Veramonte Estate vineyard hillside plantings in Casablanca. Veramonte implements aggressive canopy management that results in ripe and polished fruit with a long finish.

The Diamond Dust Vineyard lies just south of the town of Geyserville in the renowned Alexander Valley wine region.
