Martin Red Wine

2010 was a vintage of patience and emotion: a rather favorable, dry spring was followed by a mitigating summer. The key to our success was a generous and conveniently timed ripening period in September. Harvest took place successfully in the second half of the month. We picked very healthy, well-balanced, richly flavored grapes, showing liveliness and remarkable wine aromas.

The Martin Codax 2011 Rias Baixas Albarino is delicate and medium-bodied with a crisp, dry finish. Flavors of ripe apple, peach, pear and lemon zest are framed by bright minerality and hints of spice. This Albario displays intense floral aromas and an attractive acidity, making it a versatile, food-friendly wine.

Perfectly balanced aromas of baked apple, citrus, toast and floral notes delight the nose and continue as flavors in the juicy, round mouth.Pair this rich, refreshing Chardonnay with light fish dishes, a variety of salads and mild cheeses.

A nice jewel-like nose with inviting aromas of fresh juicy pear and spice notes. Rich flavors of lemon, crme brulee, light spice and toast are framed by an oak backbone.
