Garnacha Red Wine

The grapes for this wine were harvested from old-vine Garnacha vineyards that cling to rugged terrain on the slopes of the famous Moncayo Mountain with low yields of less than 2 t/acre.

This peculiar soil and climate of Campo de Borja give this wine a special character. The grapes come from the best hillside vineyards planted with the oldest Garnacha vines.

The Honoro Vera Garnacha is a ripe cherry color. It has an intense nose with dominating notes of red ripe fruits, such as raspberry and red currant, balsamic sensations and mineral aromas. It is a fruity wine, very fresh and easy to drink.

The 2010 Sorbo a Sorbo Garnacha displays intense aromas and flavors of ripe cherry, raspberry, and currant, with subtle balsamic and mineral notes that add pleasantly to the complexity. A fresh, accessible wine with lingering, bright fruit on the finish. Beautifully balanced, elegant and delicious.

The 2010 VSL Garnacha (formerly called G5 Garnacha) is bright ruby. Intense floral and spice notes accent aromas of fresh raspberry and cherry. Very sweet and silky, with ripe red berry and spicecake flavors lifted by a kick of white pepper. Finishes sweet, spicy and long, with intense raspberry confit and bitter cherry character and very good clarity.

It has a dark ruby color with shades of purple. On the nose there is a rich aroma of ripe berries with hints of floral tones typical of the Garnacha, a unique variety. Deep ruby colored with a gorgeous nose. Attractive aromas of kirsch, raspberries, pepper and melted liquorice. Full flavored wine with a supple texture and no hard edges. Harvested from 60+ year old vines and aged ten months in French oak barrels, Bodegas Castano Solanera is a custom cuvee for Eric Solomon Selections. A blend of 65% Monastrell, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Garnacha Tintorera.

This is a new wine from Jorge Ordonez from the region of Montsant with soils just like it's neighbor, Priorat. Zerran Tinto 2010 is made from Syrah and very old Garnacha vines and Carignan (aka Mazuelo) aged 16 months in French oak.
