French Chardonnay Wine

Chardonnay's versatility makes for interesting winemaking and we employ several techniques toachieve our goal of producing a modern Chardonnay that is crisp, fresh and exciting. We are aimingto capture the lemon / lime citrus flavours and subtly support this with thoughtful use of highquality, tight grain French oak barrels for fermentation and maturation.

Garnet Vineyards Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2010 has appealing aromas of ripe pear, lemon zest and honeysuckle, with bright Meyer lemon and fresh peach flavors. It's a Chardonnay with wonderful roundness, focused fruit and bright acidity. A touch of French oak gives creaminess and adds length to the wine.

The 2011 Truchard offers flavors of peach, pear, grapefruit and banana, with citrus notes enhanced by the stone and mineral elements midpalate. Toasty flavors from the French oak harmonize with the exotic fruit providing a layered palate from start to finish.

We aim to preserve the varietal's integrity by selecting on phenolic ripeness and fermenting a portion in tight grain French Oak barrels as well as a portion in stainless steel. This allows a richness and creaminess without masking the chardonnay.
