The 2009 Ridge York Creek Zinfandel displays a cherry/plum nose with accents of fig and mint. Dark fruit flavors on the palate. This vintage has a full, tannic structure, firm acidity, a nicely-rounded finish. Blend: 93% Zinfandel and 7% Petite Sirah

Hidden Ridge 2007 55% Slope Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for 18 months in French oak, 85% new, then bottled unfined and unfiltered. A very deep ruby black color with aromatics of cedar, blackberry and spices. The flavors are richly textured with traces of black tea, mocha and anise and a creamy core of dark cherry fruit.

Golden straw color. Pear, pineapple, lemon/lime zest, apricot, fig, anise, flint. Remarkably similar to the '09 vintage. Elegant body, oily texture; firm acid in a refreshing aftertaste.
