California Carneros Chardonnay

The Neyers Carneros District Chardonnay comes from fruit grown on three parcels. Two of the parcels are planted largely to 'Shot-Wente Selection' Chardonnay, a low-yielding, small berry variant of Chardonnay that has heightened flavor and increased complexity.

The Carneros Chardonnay is first and foremost about aromatics, and the techniques use are designed to retain the signature Carneros aromas of lemon-citrus and white blossom while accentuating the minerality and vivid, fresh fruit flavors of citrus and stone fruits in the wine. The 2009 Carneros Chardonnay offers enticing aromas of sweet vanilla, fresh kiwi and pineapple fruit against a creamy background. On the palate, the wine's crisp acidity complements the intense flavors of rich apple, pear and vibrant peaches before culminating in a long, creamy finish that is typical of Carneros Chardonnays.

Tropical fruit, lime and hints of vanilla form an alluring bouquet in our Chardonnay that is enhanced by just the right amount of minerality. Juicy citrus and peach flavors pair with a refreshingly crisp acidity, making the creamy texture of this wine a real reward, especially with its long, bright finish.

Flavors of rich, tropical fruit dominate this beautiful 2010 Chardonnay sourced from our Carneros Estate vineyards in southern Napa Valley. The nose offers essences of baked apple and pear with ripe, expressive flavors of peach and apricot. The mouthfeel is full and rich, accented by bright citrus and a hint of oak, with a long finish.
