2010 California Red Wine

This Petite Sirah is a dark and full-bodied,deeply concentrated wine, yielding aromas of ripe berry, coffee, grain and spice. On the palate it carries layers of ripe cherry, blackberry and plum. Its finish is long-lasting and harmonious with well-integratedtannins. It makes an excellent accompaniment to beef, game, spicy grilled food or charbroiled meats.

Blackberry, black pepper, and plum flavors enveloped in sweet oak. Round and fleshy middle palate, with nice concentration and good structure. Finishes with silky tannins and a hint of spice.

This is a wine that displays more of the spicy, racy and mineral aspects of syrah with a strong savory component and less of that jammy fruit.
