2010 Australia Chardonnay

It's a terrific example of modern Australian Chardonnay, where fruit and texture are the vital components, with oak playing a supporting role.Lovely pineapple and fresh fig flavors, creamy, spicy oak with a touch of vanilla and a long, textured finish.

A delicate pale lemon colour leads onto a typically stylish Chardonnay showing fresh white peach and melon fruit with a background hint of barrel fermentation character and a soft, dry finish. This wine drinks beautifully in its vibrant youth but can be cellared with confidence foranother 3-5 years where it will develop depth and complexity.

We aim to preserve the varietal's integrity by selecting on phenolic ripeness and fermenting a portion in tight grain French Oak barrels as well as a portion in stainless steel. This allows a richness and creaminess without masking the chardonnay.

A bright, mid-weight, white peach-accented, gently oaked wine grown on selected sites across Australia's highest performing Chardonnay region.

This Chardonnay has been made to be crisp with fresh fruit characters and soft oak that will allow some maturation if required. The color is medium yellow with touches of grapey green.
