This is the first estate Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon bottling from Joseph Phelps. The blend contains five of our seven estate vineyards: the Home Ranch in St. Helena, Suscol in South Napa, Yountville in the Oak Knoll District, Banca Dorada in Rutherford and Las Rocas in the Stags Leap District. My goal is to make a Chardonnay in the biggest, most intensely rich style while keeping the wine in balance and maintaining the vineyard's terroir and fruit expression.

From the Sonoma Coast wine region, this Pinot Noir has elegant varietal fruit character, with rich aromas and flavors of raspberry, cherry, red current and boysenberries. Hints of mushroom are supported by a subtle oak influence. This wine will evolve into a silky and smooth wine with time in the bottle.
