Cloudline's Pinot Gris is tank-fermented to emphasize the varietal's freshness, acidity and floral aromatics. Citrus fruits and white flowers are abundant on both the palate and nose. The fine texture matches the light yellow hue. The wine suggests food pairings with every sip. Try it with most shellfish, cheeses, ceviche, sushi, and spicy cuisine, such as Thai and Indian.
The bouquet of this wine just explodes from the glass with aromas of apple blossoms, white peaches and wet stones. On the palate, layers of honeysuckle, nectarines and lemon oil coat the entirety of the mouth. The finish is long and pure with lingering flavors of red star grapefruit. This could very well be our best Pinot Gris to date! ...
This Pinot Gris is best with food. Rich and rounded, although still dry, it is ideal with terrines, white meats and fish in sauce. Of all the Alsace varieties, Pinot Gris has the greatest aging potential.
