A vibrant plum red colour, this wine has an elegant nose of spice, pepper and blackberries typical of Shiraz from this region. These flavours continue on the long, full palate where they are complimented by firm, fine tannins and spicy French oak characters. Very appealing to drink now but built to cellar with confidence for at least ten years.

On the nose, plush blueberry and plum with just a hint of characteristically regional pepperand spice notes with subtle oak characters which impart a sweet, vanilla note. A dense yetsupple, harmonious wine palate. Lovely plush tannins, rounded texture with bright plummy,cherry fruit flavors and a clean finish with hallmark spicy lingering flavors.

The deep opaque black inky color suggests abrooding wine, and the spicy licorice and pepper on the nose follow up first impressions well. The low crops from this very difficult year have released a deep and very intense wine, speaking of the region and variety eloquently.
