Intense ruby red with deep garnet hues; the bouquet is intense and ethereal with aromas ranging from dark fruit and berries to chocolate, coffee, leather, liquorice and balsamic notes; silky and elegant, potent yet balanced and characterised by sweet tannins.

100% Sangiovese Grosso.Visually the wine displays a gorgeous ruby/garnet red.On the nose a very intense lingering cherry fruit and spice aroma, with gorgeous velvety tannins and a long finish.

As of the 1995 vintage, the minimum requirement for aging in wood according to DOCG regulations was reduced to 2 years (total aging was left unchanged at 4 years).
